Curriculum

Colegio Americano de San Carlos, “CASC”, is an IB World School that offers the PYP program taught in over 109 countries around the world. Our curriculum is guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance that engage students, ranging in age from 3 to 12.  Furthermore, our families find the themes challenging, relevant and significant. Continuous inquiry through transdisciplinary curriculum helps children become reflective thinkers who are open-minded and knowledgeable with good communication skills who carry themselves with care, balance and demonstrate the courage to take risks. 

The PYP IBO program reinforces and promotes our School Philosophy and values, truly making us the only multicultural international minded program in the city as well as  in the state.   

In Middle School and High School, we strive to achieve in students high academic, multicultural and trilingual education. Through transdisciplinary learning, families will find a robust and highly demanding curriculum that will challenge students and make them accountable for their own learning.  They will become independent and centered learners, who hunger for knowledge and skills. With a strong math and science program, our curriculum will help them in the pursuit of their future university aspirations.

Academic Success Department.

The main purpose of the Academic Success Department is to facilitate students in overcoming hard challenges, which they face through their academic year.

During the ages of 3 to 12, we help families through the Psychology and Pedagogy Department with day to day learning methodologies that help students achieve their academic goals while also helping them and their families cope with the high expectations and stress that surges from it. 

During the ages of 13-18, we help students through the Psychology and Pedagogy Department to become accountable for their learning process and search for their future enrollment in university. We not only help them achieve their academic goals through day to day tutoring, we also go above and beyond by helping them in their admissions process to universities.
